Emma Peel | Neil’s mum. She’s a lovely lady who cares for Neil and despairs about how to deal with Lemony. She tries her best to impress her mother-in-law. |
John Peel | Neil’s happy-go-lucky father who works at one of Lower Piercing’s three best architecture companies. |
Nanna Peel | Neil’s welcoming grandmother who loves her son and grandson. She has a doll’s house which is definitely not for touching by the younger generation. |
Grandpa Peel | Neil’s grandfather has a habit of offering to help just at the moment when all of the work is done. He relies on clichés and old jokes and is always in search of fun. |
Auntie Sue | Neil’s Auntie and Emma’s sister. She loves God before everything else but has a soft spot for Neil. She’s easily offended by anything remotely sacrilegious. |
Uncle Peter | John Peel’s brother and Neil’s uncle. He loves a drink with his brother and has been somewhat sideswiped by parenthood since his son was born. |
Auntie Lexa | Uncle Peter’s Romanian wife, nicknamed Sexa Peel by Neil’s dad. Utterly devoted to her son, Nicolae, who can do no wrong in her opinion. |
Nicolae | Neil’s only cousin. He is spawn of the devil in Neil’s opinion. Despite being very young, he is always trying to do horrible things to upset Neil. |
Wilberforce Pudge | An overweight member of 7D who joined Titfield from Princess Albertina. He has over-protective parents and ends up as one of Neil’s good friends. |
Ottilie Plank | A spiteful girl who knows Neil of old, having had to sit next to him at Prince Albert Primary School. She is devastated to have to sit next to him again at Titfield. |
Mike Prince | Stephen’s dad is a short, round hairy man who makes poor jokes. He has been John Peel’s best friend since their school days. |
Diana Prince | Stephen’s mum is a cake maker extraordinaire who is known for her machine gun laugh. She and Mike allow Stephen a lot of freedom to do what he wants. |
